Head of Sales Competence Center Input Systems
I have a very broad-based area of responsibility; no work day is like another. At the center however there are always relationships, whether at the national or international level. At the same time, my work as head of Competence Center Input Systems at SCHURTER Germany is marked by constant change.
Change is an important constant for us. We are required to respond adequately to the needs of the market and to stay on the ball constantly. At SCHURTER GmbH I am responsible for the economic growth and the increase of our brand image in the market. I participate actively in the strategic planning as well as in the corporate and market development. My goal is for SCHURTER to always be three or four steps ahead. In my position, a lot of foresight is in demand accordingly.
At the same time, my work is characterized by contact with people. Here in Germany this means meetings with our customers, project-related meetings and supporting of the employees during the daily business. I also travel a lot internationally. I meet with SCHURTER employees from other countries, have worldwide discussions with strategic partners or dedicate myself to contract negotiations and cultivating customer relations. It is precisely in the variety of the relationships that I often experience genuine partnerships. I value this in the work at SCHURTER.
I have already travelled a long road with SCHURTER. I began with my education to become a manager in industry. This was followed by studies in business administration as well as a whole series of on-the-job training and continuing education sessions. This gave me the tools for the various career steps and the resultant growth in responsibility. Education has a high priority at SCHURTER. So, the way I experienced this promotion is the way I also promote others now.
I am very satisfied with the work situation at SCHURTER. The overall conditions make SCHURTER an especially attractive employer. Also the interesting field of work, the products and the technologies are further pluses. I particularly like our open communication atmosphere. We maintain a healthy culture of debate. Problems and potentials are addressed openly, solutions are sometimes hard-fought – yet at the end of the day, there is a positive outcome then.
