Among the various challenges that SCHURTER AG Mendrisio (SAGM) has had to face in recent years, one in particular stands out: The certification for the automotive sector according to IATF 16949, a standard that represents one of the strictest and most demanding certifications.

SCHURTER sought this certification with the clear goal of developing continuous improvement and a commitment to constantly care for and meet the growing needs of its customers. The certification is not only important for automotive customers. It brings added value to all SCHURTER customers.

We have now succeeded in meeting the requirements for obtaining the certification, in a company that is constantly growing and in a historical period that still confronts us with great challenges.

All SAGM employees have contributed directly and indirectly to the achievement of this goal, but a special and most sincere thanks goes to the process owners who have played the key roles in the optimization of these processes, and to the project team that has optimized the production process of the products concerned.
