On February 18, 2022, the time had come: After an incredible 43 years, Eduard "Edi" Zumstein had his last working day in Lucerne.

Less than a year ago, Christian Holzgang, CEO SCHURTER AG, and Brigitte Studer, Head Human Resources SCHURTER AG, were already able to bid farewell to Cäcilia Liechti after more than 46 years of service in the company.

And now Edi Zumstein: 43 years in the service of SCHURTER AG. Half a human life. Such figures are no longer a matter to be taken for granted these days. What Christian Holzgang said at Cäcilia Liechti's farewell applies in the same way to Edi Zumstein: "Nowadays, employees change companies much more quickly. Your loyalty and reliability distinguish you, and we as an employer have been able to benefit from this to a great extent."

Start 1979

Edi Zumstein started as a testing mechanic on May 1, 1979. His favorite subject were prototypes, and he remained faithful to them until his last day. In 2017 he was appointed Head Prototyping, then in 2020 Specialist Prototyping.
