As in the past years, the TUfast Eco Team of the Technical University of Munich relies on SCHURTER products also in the 2022 season. In the "muc022", the latest urban concept vehicle, the MCS Metal Line switches are used and thus represent the interface between the driver and the vehicle electronics.
The TUfast Eco Team is an opportunity for motivated students of the TU Munich to gain practical experience in the development of highly efficient vehicles as well as to be involved in the development of autonomous software and to actively engage with the latest developments in electromobility. The focus is on the development of innovative solutions through interdisciplinary cooperation.
SCHURTER switches as a proven concept
Almost all driver inputs are made by pressing a switch. As in the previous vehicles, SCHURTER Metal Line switches of the MCS19 series were used exclusively for this purpose. Their clear pressure point makes them easy to operate even when wearing gloves. Also, their low weight and especially the compact design is perfect for the application. Last but not least, the robustness and the large selection of printings make these switches the ideal choice.
