Marketing Manager
I work at SCHURTER Electronics B.V. in the Netherlands in the marketing department. At SCHURTER Electronics B.V. we manufacture touch screens, capacitive products and membrane keypads. The generic term for these products is "human-machine interface". My job in Marketing Communications could also be described as a "human-machine interface".
Our former company Danielson was taken over by the SCHURTER Group at the beginning of 2014. Since this takeover, my job has definitely changed. I studied Marketing Communications. Since the integration into the SCHURTER Group the international aspect of my work has greatly increased since a large part of my work now concerns the group. This change suits me very well personally. Thus I come into contact with many people in a wide variety of departments and various countries. That makes my work very interesting!
Due to the international aspect the decision-making pathways have become somewhat longer than before, but I find the exchange across cultural boundaries very exciting. I appreciate being able to work with dependable colleagues. Supporting one another, dealing respectfully with one another, being open and honest, those are the important values that are not written out on paper but are nevertheless also experienced.
Besides the regular marketing avtivities, special projects are always on the agenda, such as the development of a new website. Here I am responsible for the Input Systems area, collecting all of the data and coordinating the content. Two to three times a year I organize trade fair appearances for the team, also for electronica in Munich, the leading trade fair for electronic components, systems and applications in the world. We are proud that SCHURTER has assigned us this responsible role.
On the whole, my work in the company and the Group is recognized. This feedback is important to me. It is good to know that one is on the right track.
